Cycling Adventure

Since my partner and I are trying to embrace the culture of cycling in the Netherlands, we decided to make a go of it and planned a journey from Hilversum to Utrecht. 

We quickly found out that a hoodie and joggers were not up to the task after leaving and had to deploy extra layers to keep warm. We cycled through the farmlands on the way to Utrecht with beautiful views and a nice fresh chill in the air.

We stopped along the way for a small picnic where we saw ducks, swans and some local farm animals along the way. The peace and tranquillity were bliss.

When we arrived in Utrecht it looked like a small Amsterdam with canals and a city alive with people shopping, eating and socializing. We found a spot next to the canal after exploring the shopping centre where we had one of the best burgers we had ever tasted.

All-in-all it was a great day in the Netherlands and a memory we will not soon forget.
