A world of difference between SA and NL

Since we arrived in the Netherlands from South Africa, we have had quite a few experiences, there is quite a difference between the two countries.

For example, grocery shopping here is different, from the items to handheld scanners and the self-checkout counters, our first time shopping we were amazed at how different the products in the stores are from what we are used to.

The people here are very friendly and helpful, especially here in Nijmegen. The architecture here is very beautiful and even walking into the city at night we felt safe.

We have yet to explore a lot more that the Netherlands have to offer and are looking forward to that.

Some of the things that stand out were:

• My wife and kinds experienced snow for the first time.
