    Senior Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer

    Senior (5 - 10 yrs)

    Are you a skilled Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer with expertise in low voltage systems and instrumentation design? Do you thrive in dynamic, technically challenging environments where you can contribute to the design, enhancement, and implementation of electrical and instrumentation systems? Then this opportunity is for you!

    As a Senior E/I Engineer, you will contribute to a variety of complex projects, spanning from initial concept development to final implementation and commissioning. In this key role, you will play a vital part in delivering technical solutions that align with customer requirements. You will take charge of designing and executing electrical and instrumentation systems, collaborating closely with both internal teams and external partners. Your key responsibilities will include:

    • Designing and developing low voltage systems, including distribution boards and control panels

    • Selecting instrumentation for various applications within various industries 

    • Designing electrical architectures and performing cable calculations

    • Work with AutoCAD and E-Plan (experience or knowledge is required)

    • Ensure compliance with ATEX standards in explosive environments

    • Contribute to functional safety systems (knowledge of SIL/IEC 61508/61511 is a plus)

    • Provide support on small to medium sized projects, from concept to commissioning

    • Utilize power system analysis tools such as E-TAP, Caneco, Intelec, Simaris or EcoDial (experience with at least one tool is required)

    • Prepare man-hour budgets, customer proposals and quotes

    • Analyze complex problems within distribution and control systems and work with the team to develop flexible solutions

    • Collaborate with customers during the conceptual design phase to understand their needs understand and translate into practical solutions

    • Sharing knowledge and acting as a mentor to younger engineers to guide them guide them in their development and growth

    Function criteria

    You are a collaborative and detail-oriented professional who thrives in large organizational settings and is experienced in managing small to medium-sized projects. Additionally, you bring:

    • A bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation or a related field

    • Minimum 5 years of experience as an E&I engineer within the industry with a focus on low voltage systems and hardware design

    • General knowledge of NEN1010 and/or AREI standards

    • Knowledge of functional safety within the process industry and/or mechanical engineering is an advantage

    • Knowledge of medium voltage systems is a plus, but not a requirement
