Our Operations department works across three regions (North, South, and West), managing the design, installation, maintenance, and servicing of energy systems. In Region West and South, the Maintenance & Faults Team is responsible for maintaining (medium-voltage) installations, at various locations. Due to commercial growth and an expanding workload, we are looking for new talent to help shape the future of our organization.
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and overseeing the maintenance policy (maintenance plans, instructions, and forms) for both internal assets and those of customers in the West and South regions, with a particular focus on installations.
You will advise customers and the internal Asset Management department on maintenance strategies, conduct fault analyses and reports, and stay up to date with technical developments related to the assets. Additionally, you will assess planned maintenance activities (both in-house and outsourced) at an early stage, ensuring safety compliance while keeping within budget and schedule. Through close collaboration with Asset Management and customers, you will ensure project delivery meets specifications and contract agreements.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain maintenance policies, plans, instructions, and forms for internal use and customers.
Advise customers and the Asset Management department (internal client) on maintenance strategies.
Conduct fault analyses and technical reports to support maintenance planning.
Stay up to date with technical developments related to assets.
Assess planned maintenance activities for safety, budget, and schedule compliance.
Ensure project delivery aligns with contract agreements and technical specifications.
Oversee maintenance work on Chemelot installations, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

Function criteria
Education & Experience:
BSc degree in Energy Technology or Electrical Engineering.
BEI OIV certification (or willingness to obtain it).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance engineering.
Knowledge of maintenance methodologies.
VOL-VCA certification (preferred).
Skills & Competencies:
Strong leadership skills and a passion for technology.
Highly analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent communication skills, able to coordinate between different stakeholders.
Decision-making and stress management skills in high-pressure situations.
Strong planning and organizational skills to manage complex maintenance operations.
